The guiding principle for all spaces in the building – be they formal, structured areas or casual informal spaces – was that they are flexible and easy to reconfigure to accommodate different functions and activities.

The 6-storey building includes four general teaching floors, a two level state-of-the-art learning centre, a 500-person lecture theatre, as well as food and beverage outlets at ground level. The learning centre includes a variety of spaces to accommodate activities from quiet, individual study to collaborative group spaces with interactive IT enabling easy sharing of data.

GHD Design provided architectural, interior design and all building services for this project; the third GHD Design-designed building for Southern Cross University on their Gold Coast Campus.
